T-lymfocyter
T-celler, 1. hjälpar T-celler producerar tillväxtfaktorer till andra vita blodkroppar och är viktiga för reglering av ett immunsvar beroende på typ av immunologisk reaktion; cytotoxiska T-celler svarar för det specifika cellmedierade immunförsvaret mot t.ex. tumörer eller virusinfekterade celler.
T lymphocytes
T cells: lymphocytes that mature in the thymus and are responsible for cell-mediated immunity; help T cells in the immune system to produce growth factors that stimulate other white blood cells to partake in the immune response; cytotoxic T cells responsible for specific cell-mediated immunity against e.g., tumors or virus-infected cells.
